Chassis 1213 was the only one of 3 VALs that served with H & H to have an H & H built body. It served only 17 years with H & H before goining to Ian Watson in Otautau who converted it to a movan. In March 2001 it had a 180hp Scania B480 motor driving through a 6 speed Commer TS3 gearbox.
