1214 has only had 4 owners in over 40 years. The body work on this bus was by Midland Motorway Services. After at least 10 years with Gazelle Lines in Kaitangata, from 1963, it served with Cambridge Travel Lines until 1994. It has only had 2 owners as a movan last changing owners in 1995. The original Leyland 0400 engine is still the bus.
